TGIF - That Gap Is (was) Forever!!

Hey, TGIF fans!

It has been 12 years since I wrote anything here. I'm not actually writing much content today. I did just want to mention that I may be posting here more often (than every 12 1/2 years!) and I did clean up my links to other blogs and sites. I removed a few I don't follow anymore and any dead links. However, some of those blogs/links that I kept have been on hiatus as well.

I may also rethink the theme of the blog.

In any case, you shouldn't have to wait as long for more content...even if I just end up linking to content elsewhere (mine or someone else's).

Thank Goodness I Finished

Well, the Picture Book Marathon is over!  I completed the 26 manuscripts!  I also wrote my February manuscript for 12x12 in 12!
It was a tough month.  It seemed like it was more of a struggle this year to work each day.  However, I hate to lose and not finishing something like this that I start would be like 'losing' to me.

Some of my stories may have been more like writing exercises, but I do think there are a few real winners in there.  Hopefully, I'll be able to get them polished up and sent out later this year.

I hope to be blogging more this year and get some useful resources up here.

Thank Goodness its February (again)

So far so good for me and the Picture Book Marathon.  Yesterday was February 2nd and I have written two picture book manuscripts this month.

It is working to keep me motivated so far as well.  I also joined another marathon of sorts, the 12 x 12 in 2012 challenge.  I wrote my PB manuscript for January, so at the end of the Picture Book Marathon, I should have at least 28 new manuscripts (at least 26 for the PB Marathon and 2 for 12x12in2012) to sort through and work on.

I've been busy with typing notes and manuscripts on my iPod, phone and computer.  I generate a lot of ideas when I'm trying to finish a manuscript.  That's a good thing if I don't get distracted from finishing the idea I'm working on.

Well, that's going to be it for the blog this week, but I hope to have more numbers and motivation for you next week!
